Natural Language Processing and Generative Artificial Intelligence Applied to the Teaching of Spanish (Edition II)

The recent rise of generative artificial intelligence has made it an increasingly indispensable tool in the educational field. This course will introduce the main advancements in this area, along with the more established field of natural language processing, from the perspective of teaching Spanish.

Methodology: The course is designed in the format of short audiovisual capsules, with the aim of providing a general overview of the technologies and serving as a starting point for further study on specific aspects of greater interest, supplemented with additional materials. It is intended for students from various backgrounds who have an interest in teaching Spanish and/or generative artificial intelligence, without requiring prior technical knowledge. The content is structured to be worked through sequentially over the course of several weeks or months, and the course concludes with a test on the material, which, upon passing, will enable students to obtain a certificate of course completion issued by the BISITE group of the University of Salamanca.

Course Content: Theoretical and practical foundations of natural language processing (NLP), Generative AI (GPT, Llama2, Stable Diffusion...), and other AI applications (Voice to Text, Text to Voice...).
